Geocomms Waterproof Communication Equipment User Information
Geocomms waterproof communication systems are designed for use in a non-standard extreme environment. In order
to create and maintain the waterproof integrity this equipment we assembled it in special conditions using
none-traditional technologies.
All components of Geocomms communication systems are not user maintainable and under no circumstances should be
opened.
Unauthorized attempt to open or to fix any component of Geocomms communication system will invalidate our
warranty.
Geocomms equipment is ONLY waterproof provided there is no damage to any component of the system including radio
and external none Geocomms equipment connected to our system.
If any component of our system is damaged in any way, it should be immediately referred to our service centre
for repair before any further use.
Damaged equipment may include helmets, cables, plugs, sockets, switch/RPTT cases, buttons, connectors, etc.
Important recommendations:
Our fault analysis shows the most vulnerable parts of the Geocomms system are plugs, sockets, and cable
connectors.
Customers not being accurate with the equipment connections create most of problems we see.
All plugs, sockets, and cable connectors of any Geocomms system should be properly connected or terminated with
waterproof lead cap before any use in fresh/salt water.
Plugs, sockets, and cable connectors of any Geocomms system should be disconnected (when such disconnection
needed) only in the safe dry environment.
No fresh/salt water should get into any plug, socket, or connector under any circumstances.
Open plugs, sockets, and connectors should be immediately terminated with waterproof lead caps provided by
Geocomms International with any plug, socket, and connector we sell.
Do not use an extra force while connecting/disconnecting any plug, socket, or connector.
Store Geocomms equipment in warm dry place.
Remember: disconnecting the radio lead from PTT/RPPT box requires a clock-wise rotation of the closest to
the box blue connector ring.
Disconnecting the radio lead is not required while charging or programming RPTT.
