VHF Very High Frequency - A band of radio frequencies falling between 30 and 300
megahertz.
UHF Ultra High Frequency - A band of radio frequencies from 300 to 3,000 megahertz.
Bone Mic
In a bone-conductive microphone, the vibrations from our bones are transmitted through our skin. The microphone
converts the skin vibrations into an analog electrical signal, which is then sampled by an analog-to-digital
converter. The bone microphone only produces signals when the user talks; environment noise or background
speech will not affect the bone microphone.
PTT Push to Talk - The act of pressing a transmitting switch or button on a radio (vhf
or uhf) to activate a voice communication between the radios.
